Konkurs 04/2025

1. Od kandydata wymagane są:

1. Posiadanie stopienia naukowego doktora w dziedzinie filozofii lub fizyki.
2. Ugruntowana znajomość filozofii fizyki.
3. Udokumentowane doświadczenie badawcze w zakresie filozofii nauki, metafizyki lub fundamentów fizyki.
4. Dobra znajomość języka angielskiego pozwalająca na swobodną pracę w międzynarodowym zespole i publikację wyników badań w renomowanych czasopismach.
5. Znajomość zagadnień związanych z relacjonizmem, czystą dynamiką kształtu (pure shape dynamics) i ontologią fizyki kwantowej będą dodatkowymi atutami.

Dodatkowe warunki:

1. Stopień naukowy doktora powinien zostać nadany w roku zatrudnienia w projekcie lub w okresie 7 lat przed 1 stycznia roku zatrudnienia w projekcie. Ten okres może zostać wydłużony o czas długoterminowych (powyżej 90 dni) udokumentowanych zwolnień lekarskich lub urlopów rehabilitacyjnych przyznanych z powodu niezdolności do pracy. Okres ten może też zostać wydłużony o liczbę miesięcy urlopu wychowawczego przyznanego zgodnie z Kodeksem pracy, a w przypadku kobiet o 18 miesięcy za każde urodzone lub adoptowane dziecko, w zależności od preferowanego sposobu rozliczania przerw w karierze naukowej.
2. Kierownik projektu nie może być promotorem ani promotorem pomocniczym kandydata.
3. Stopień doktora powinien być uzyskany na innej uczelni niż Politechnika Warszawska albo kandydat powinien odbyć ciągły, udokumentowany staż podoktorski, trwający co najmniej 10 miesięcy w innej instytucji niż Politechnika Warszawska i w innym kraju niż Polska.
4. Kandydat będzie zatrudniony na okres nie krótszy niż 6 miesięcy.
5. W okresie pobierania wynagrodzenia kandydat nie może otrzymywać innego wynagrodzenia finansowanego ze środków projektów badawczych NCN w ramach kosztów bezpośrednich.
6. W okresie pobierania wynagrodzenia kandydat nie może być zatrudniony na podstawie umowy o pracę w innym podmiocie, w tym u pracodawcy mającego siedzibę poza Polską.
7. W okresie pobierania wynagrodzenia kandydat nie może pobierać świadczeń emerytalnych z systemu ubezpieczeń społecznych.

2. Kandydat ubiegający się o powyższe stanowisko powinien spełniać wymagania określone w ustawie – Prawo o szkolnictwie wyższym i nauce oraz w § 118-121 Statutu PW.

1. Kandydat powinien złożyć następujące dokumenty:
   1. podanie o zatrudnienie skierowane do Prorektora ds. Ogólnych;
   2. życiorys;
   3. list motywacyjny zawierający wykaz osiągnięć naukowych;
   4. kwestionariusz osobowy dla osoby ubiegającej się o zatrudnienie;
   5. odpis dyplomu doktorskiego;                                                                                                      
   6. inne dokumenty potwierdzające posiadanie dodatkowych kwalifikacji;
   7. dwa listy rekomendacyjne wysłane oddzielnie na adres: agnieszka.kapczynska@pw.edu.pl;
   8. oświadczenie o uznaniu PW jako podstawowego miejsca pracy, w rozumieniu ustawy - Prawo o szkolnictwie wyższym i nauce;
   9. oświadczenie o:
      • pełnej zdolności do czynności prawnych,
      • korzystaniu z pełni praw publicznych,
      • nieskazaniu prawomocnym wyrokiem za umyślne przestępstwo lub umyślne przestępstwo skarbowe,
      • nieukaraniu karą dyscyplinarną, o której mowa w art. 276 ust. 1 pkt 7 i 8 ustawy.
2. Wymienione dokumenty należy składać w terminie od dnia ogłoszenia konkursu 9.04.2025 do dnia 9.05.2025 na Wydziale Administracji i Nauk Społecznych Politechniki Warszawskiej, 00-661 Warszawa, Plac Politechniki 1, pok. 225A, tel. (22) 234-59-58. 
   Aplikacje można przesyłać jako jeden plik PDF zawierający wszystkie podpisane i zeskanowane dokumenty na adres e-mail agnieszka.kapczynska@pw.edu.pl. Wybrany kandydat proszony jest o dostarczenie oryginałów dokumentów osobiście.
3. Rozstrzygnięcie konkursu nastąpi w terminie do dnia 16.05.2025 r.
4. Politechnika Warszawska zastrzega sobie prawo do zamknięcia konkursu bez wyłonienia kandydata i bez podania przyczyny.
5. Niepoinformowanie kandydata o wynikach konkursu jest równoznaczne z odrzuceniem jego oferty.
6. Wygranie konkursu nie jest gwarancją zatrudnienia.

1. Requirements for candidates:

1. A doctoral degree in philosophy or physics.
2. A solid background in the philosophy of physics.
3. Documented research experience in the philosophy of science, metaphysics, or the foundations of physics.
4. A good command of English to enable independent work in an international research team and the publication of research results in reputable journals.
5. Familiarity with topics related to relationalism, pure shape dynamics, and the ontology of quantum physics will be an additional asset.

Additional conditions:

1. The doctoral degree must be awarded in the year of employment in the project or within seven years before January 1 of the year of employment in the project. This period may be extended for long-term (over 90 days) documented medical leave or rehabilitation leave granted due to incapacity for work. Furthermore, this period may be extended by the number of months of parental leave granted under the Labor Code, and in the case of women, by 18 months for each born or adopted child, depending on the preferred method of accounting for career breaks.
2. The candidate must not have had the principal investigator as their research supervisor or auxiliary supervisor of their PhD dissertation.
3. The doctoral degree must be obtained at a different university than the Warsaw University of Technology, or the candidate must have completed a continuous, documented postdoctoral internship lasting at least 10 months at an institution different from the Warsaw University of Technology and in a country other than Poland.
4. The selected candidate must be employed for a period of at least 6 months.
5. During the period of receiving remuneration, the candidate may not be receiving any other remuneration paid from the funds granted to research projects under NCN calls under the heading of direct costs.
6. During the period of receiving remuneration, the candidate may not be employed based on an employment contract in another entity, including an employer based outside Poland.
7. During the period of receiving remuneration, the candidate may not receive pension benefits from the social security system.

2. The person applying for the post should satisfy the requirements set forth in the Law on Higher Education and Science and in § 118-121 of the Warsaw University of Technology Statute.

1. Candidates shall submit the following documents:
   1. a letter of application to the Vice-Rector for General Affairs;
   2. a CV;
   3. cover letter including a list of scientific achievements;
   4. candidate’s Personal Information form;
   5. a copy of the doctoral diploma;
   6. other documents certifying additional qualifications;
   7. two letters of recommendation sent separately to the following address: agnieszka.kapczynska@ pw.edu.pl;
   8. acknowledgement of WUT as a primary place of employment, as defined in the Act of Law on Higher Education and Science; 
   9. a statement confirming:
      • full legal capacity,
      • full civil rights,
      • no final conviction for an intentional crime or intentional tax offense,
      • no disciplinary penalty as defined in Article 276 section 1 items 7 and 8 of the Act.
2. The aforementioned documents shall be submitted from the day of competition announcement, 9.04.2025 to 9.05.2025, at the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences of Warsaw University of Technology, 00-661 Warsaw, Plac Politechniki 1 (floor 2, room 225A), Phone (22) 234-59-58.
   Applications may also be sent as a single PDF file containing all signed and scanned documents to the following email address: agnieszka.kapczynska@pw.edu.pl. The selected candidate must submit the original documents in person.
3. The competition results will be announced by May 16, 2025.
4. The Warsaw University of Technology reserves the right to close the competition without selecting a candidate and without providing a reason.
5. Failure to notify the candidate of the competition results is equivalent to the rejection of their application.
6. Winning the competition does not guarantee employment.
